For each National Research Programme (NRP) the National Research Council sets up a Steering Committee, whose members are appointed on the basis of their scientific competency and experience of application-oriented research. The Steering Committee is responsible for conducting the NRP. Over the entire duration of the NRP it performs strategic work, determines the specific profile of the NRP, and ensures the necessary continuity and coherence.
The Steering Committee organizes and monitors the scientific coordination and evaluates the progress of the research projects and execution of the activities of the projects and the NRP. Assessment of the interim and final reports is also the task of the Steering Committee.
A Delegate represents Division IV (Targeted Research) of the National Research Council in the Steering Committee and handles the contacts between the two bodies. The Delegate presents the suggestions of the Steering Committee to Division IV of the National Research Council, which approves or rejects them.
The Programme Coordinator – serving as a kind of hub – is responsible for the operational management of the NRP. The Programme Coordinator is the first person to contact for any information.
The Head of Knowledge and Technology Transfer plans and clearly defines transfer to the main target groups. He/she supports and advises the persons responsible for the projects in their contacts with the media. The Head of Knowledge and Technology Transfer also provides support in implementing specific measures in knowledge transfer of the projects.
