The three first modules focus on materials that:
- adapt the transmission of forces by means of electric or magnetic fields;
- react to stimuli by changing their structure thus allowing for new properties on a microscopic scale;
- transport active agents in the human body to specific sites and release it under the stimulation of an external signal.
"High risk – high reward" research work characterizes the projects of the fourth module.
